Eye infections
There are several different types of eye infections that you can get. Some are contagious and some can be caused by triggers such as contact lenses, allergic reactions to make up or other eyelash products, such as dyes.
Forms of eye infections
The most widely known eye infection is probably Conjunctivitis. There are several forms and stages. It can be triggered either by allergic reactions to either make up or dust mites in the home, getting an object such as an eyelash or bit of dirt in the eye, or is sometimes simply caused by a virus.
Typical symptoms include itchy red and swollen eyes, and a sticky discharge from the infected eye. Conjunctivitis, basically means inflammation of the conjunctiva, and is often also known as pink eye. Conjunctivitis is sometimes contagious if accompanied by other flu like symptoms such as aching joints, high temperature and a headache.
To treat conjunctivitis, it is important to keep the eye clean, and remove any thing that could lead to further irritation such as contact lenses or false eyelashes. Antibiotics are used in some cases
Other infections of the eye include, include fungal eye infections or bacterial infections such as Blephantius. This causes the eye lid to be come inflamed and flaky, and is sometimes the result of dermitius.
Blephantius can in rare occurrences lead to complications, such as dry eye syndrome, where the eye dries out too quickly and is unable to produce tears properly.
However it is normally possible to treat with antibiotics before it develops into anything more serious.
It is also possible to get infections of the eye that are normally associated with the skin. One example of this is shingles of the eyes. Symptoms of this include redness, swelling and blurred vision. Shingles is usually treated by eye drops prescribed by your GP.

Really interesting stuff, I have found your website a breath of fresh air!
Whilst many websites that are about fake eyelashes or eyelash extensions just try to sell you something you are giving out great info for free which is a first.
I have booked an appointment to get some false eyelashes applied and I will report back to tell you how the eyelash extensions looked.
