How does eyelash tinting work?
Tinting your eyelashes is a great alternative to getting eyelash extensions done and it is perfect for people that are not too keen on getting their eyelashes played with for hours on end which is exactly what the eyelash extension treatment does. Eyelash tinting is basically an eyelash treatment which dyes your eyelashes with an eyelash dye a darker colour than they are at the present time and enhances the lashes to give them the look of thicker, fuller lashes. Getting an eyelash tint is something that people should consider as it’s cheaper than 3d eyelash extensions and false eyelashes and takes less time than eyelash extensions. For the ladies that have light coloured eyelashes and eyelash tinting does work on it will work amazingly well!!
If you have light colour hair then eyelash tinting is something that will work very well for you as it will only work on people that have light colour eyelashes in the first place. The trouble is if you have already got eyelashes that are a dark colour then the tinting will have little or no effect at all leaving the procedure redundant!
Is there anything to worry about?
A patch test is always needed before a client receives eyelash tinting treatments and this has to be done 24 hours before the treatment. A skin test is to make sure that the client does not end up having some kind of reaction whether it is the skin or the eyes. The area around the eyes is cleaned so as there is no dirty or grease with a piece of cotton wool or something similar before the treatment begins.
To clean the skin and apply the dye will take no longer than 5 minutes, with the dye taking about 7-10 minutes to tint the eyelashes fully. Some products may differ in time but only slightly and the whole treatment should take no longer than 45 minutes. If you have light coloured eyelashes and you get eyelash extensions done regularly then you may find that you find eyelash tinting a better option. Eyelash tinting is quite a bit cheaper than extensions, it lasts for around the same amount of time (maybe longer) and you will not have to worry about minding them in the bath or in water and losing them.
